Q&A
Q.
What is the difference between Shurink and Ulthera?
Shurink and Ulthera use the same treatment principle. Ulthera is a device approved by the U.S. FDA, and it lets us treat while viewing the skin layers on a monitor. Its results last longer than Shurink's, but the pain is a little stronger, so we use topical anesthetic cream and pain relievers. Shurink is a Korean-made device modeled on Ulthera; its results last a shorter time than Ulthera's, and the pain is mild enough that topical anesthesia is not needed. We recommend Ulthera if you cannot visit often, and Shurink if you can visit often and are concerned about pain.
Q.
What is the difference between Ulthera and Thermage?
Both are non-surgical anti-aging treatments, but they differ in the layer they target and in how they work. Ulthera mainly targets the SMAS (musculoaponeurotic) layer and uses ultrasound, so a lifting effect can be expected. Thermage FLX works on the dermis, delivering radiofrequency energy precisely into the skin, so effects such as skin tightening and wrinkle improvement can be expected. The two treatments can also be performed together, and when combined an excellent anti-aging effect can be expected.

What should I keep in mind?
Please read the precautions carefully and follow them closely.
-
You may wash your face and apply makeup right away, using a gentle, low-irritation cleanser.
-
To reduce skin irritation, we recommend washing with lukewarm water for 3 days after the treatment.
-
For about a week after the treatment, it is best to avoid saunas, alcohol, peeling treatments, and scrub products.
-
Depending on the individual, you may experience temporary soreness, slight swelling, bruising, or redness for a few days after the treatment.
-
After the treatment, pay attention to sun protection and moisturizing, and consider taking antioxidants such as vitamin C.
-
In rare cases, white striping (white stripes) may occur after an Ulthera treatment, but it can be sufficiently resolved with appropriate care and medication. If symptoms occur, please contact the clinic.
